Dana White no longer in talks of Jones moving to heavyweight

UFC president Dane White answered questions about his plans for Jon Jones (26-1).

“Yeah, I’ve already completely moved away from discussing Jones moving up to heavyweight. Look, I arrange fights every Saturday, there’s a period of time in which we try to arrange fights, and if we can’t reach an agreement at that time, then we just move on.

And if you think realistically, I said from the beginning that Derrick Lewis should get a title fight. He’s already beaten Ngannou, he’s next in line, has been great in recent fights, that’s the point. We move on.

Let Jones decide for himself, he can compete at bantamweight. He said he won’t fight Miocic, now Derrick fights Francis – that’s the way it is,” White said.
