Former temporary UFC lightweight champion Dustin Poirier believes he made too many mistakes in the lost battle against 155lb division king Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“I did some things I shouldn’t have done. It’s always easy to talk about the past. If I could go back, I’d change a few things. I’d stick to the fight plan a little better. I should have spent the guillotine as carefully as possible so Khabib couldn’t get out. But this is life.
Nurmagomedov is just another person. Many times in your head you create an image of these guys and then you go out into the octagon with someone and you realize it’s just another fighter like the 40 previous ones you fought,” Dustin Poirier told Bleacher Report.
